Patrick A. Grasso

Patrick Grasso has over 30 years of national real estate transaction and investment banking experience involving all aspects of the commercial real estate industry including the sale, financing, acquisition or joint venture of major existing and to-be-built office, retail, hotel and residential projects throughout the United States and Caribbean. Prior to forming Keystone, he was a Managing Director and senior partner in the New York office of Eastdil Realty. Aside from involvement in numerous individual landmark transactions, he has completed over 30 major portfolio assignments, including the sale of the 8.3 million square foot Blackstone Portfolio. Patrick was with Eastdil for 16 years (1979-1983 and 1992-2004) and served on its management and compensation committees. During his time away from Eastdil, Patrick co-founded Wells Hill Partners (1983-1990), a boutique real estate investment banking firm; and he was a Senior Vice President in the real estate investment banking group at Kidder Peabody where he was a pioneer in the sale of large performing and non-performing commercial loan portfolios.

His past and present professional affiliations and other memberships include ULI (Westchester-Fairfield Executive Committee Member), CRE, ICSC, PREA, REFA, and the New York Hospitality Council, a founding board member of the NYU Center for Hospitality and Tourism, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Stanwich School, Co-Chair of its Facilities Committee and Chair of Development for St. Catherine’s of Riverside. He earned his MBA from the Wharton School and his B.E. (Civil Engineering) from Manhattan College. Patrick is a licensed real estate broker in New York.

Christopher G. McManus

Chris McManus has over 30 years of national real estate transaction and investment banking experience involving all aspects of the commercial real estate industry. He began his professional career at Eastdil Realty where he was responsible for raising debt and equity project financing for the development or recapitalization of over 3.5 million square feet of office projects, 7,500 hotel rooms and 2 million square feet of retail developments throughout the United States. Chris and Patrick worked together at Eastdil and later at Wells Hill Partners, a boutique real estate investment banking firm active in arranging project financing and investment sales. Chris left Wells Hill to create his own investment advisory and asset management firm, Offshore Asset Management, Inc. The firm became the exclusive acquisition and asset management advisor for Mitsui Real Estate Sales for whom it acquired and managed over $100 million in real estate assets, which were ultimately sold at substantial profits. Prior to the formation of Keystone, Chris was a Senior Vice President at CB Richard Ellis responsible for investment sales in the New York Metropolitan Area.

Chris is a member of the ULI, CMSA, REFA and the Cornell Hotel Society. He earned his MBA from Columbia University and his B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Chris is a licensed real estate broker in New York, Connecticut, Georgia and Rhode Island.

John R. Burns

John Burns has 30 years of national real estate transaction and investment banking experience in structuring commercial real estate investment sales transactions and project financing (both debt and equity) assignments. John’s product expertise encompasses CBD and suburban office, multi-family, industrial assets and development land. John joined Keystone in 2012 and opened the firm’s Chicago office which services the major Midwest markets. Prior to joining Keystone, he was the founding partner of Chicago-based Cooper Conlin Partners (“CCP”), boutique real estate investment firm he established in 2002.

Prior to forming CCP, John opened and ran the Chicago office for New York-based Eastdil Realty Company (now Eastdil Secured), one of the preeminent real estate investment banking firms, providing services for commercial real estate transactions ranging from single assets to large portfolios. The Chicago office was responsible for handling all transactions involving Midwestern located properties as well as national portfolio sales. During his tenure at Eastdil, John personally completed in excess of $4.0 billion of sales and/or financing transactions and was voted Chicago Investment Broker of the Year in 1998, 1999 and 2000 (Crain’s Chicago Business). John was a Managing Director and on the firm’s Management Committee.

John’s real estate career began at The John Buck Company (“JBC”) which is a full-service Chicago-based real estate investment, development, management and leasing firm that was established in 1981. John was a Partner in the firm where he spent 11 years. John grew-up in the Chicago area and attended Lake Forest College. John met Keystone Co-Founder Patrick Grasso at Eastdil where the two worked together on various transactions during John’s tenure with the firm. John is a licensed real estate Managing Broker in the State of Illinois.

Mark H. Ellert

Mark Ellert manages Keystone’s South Florida office. He has a diverse career in hotel and commercial development, property management, consulting and brokerage. His career began with Houston based Century Development, later joining Citicorp N.A, advising high net worth clients on real estate acquisitions and joint ventures.  In 1984 he was recruited to Rahn Properties, a noted Florida based hotel development and management firm active in Florida, Washington DC and Northern California as the company’s Executive VP. In 1987 he joined VMS Realty, a Chicago based real estate investment firm, assuming responsibility for the company’s resort and land development activities in Florida, the Caribbean, Washington DC and Hawaii. Subsequently he formed IAG Florida to further his professional efforts to real estate development, advisory and brokerage. He is also co-founder and President of a small eco-resort hotel company with projects in Florida, the Bahamas and Galapagos Islands.

Notable South Florida transactions include: a $105mm refinancing of the Fontainebleau; the $65mm sale of Fisher Island; over $30mm in Ft. Lauderdale land sales; placement of $100mm in construction financing for the Ft. Lauderdale Renaissance hotel and Atlantic Hotel, a Starwood Luxury Collection condo-hotel; as well as the $45,000,000 sale of a waterfront mixed use office-retail center.

Mark holds a BA from the University of Texas in Austin as well as an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute. Mark is a licensed real estate broker in Florida.

Kevin DeNell

Kevin DeNell has been in the real estate finance and mortgage brokerage business since 2003. Previous to his affiliation with IAG and Keystone, Kevin was with RL Pearson and Associates, a commercial mortgage brokerage firm, with a focus on real estate mortgage lending and origination in the state of Florida. Kevin was also Vice President of Loans at Floridian Community Bank focusing on origination and underwriting of commercial real estate in South Florida. Prior to his real estate career Kevin worked at Union Bank and Trust in Nebraska and overseas in China for the shipping giant COSCO.

  Kevin graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2000 and received a Masters in Business from University of Miami in 2002. Kevin is a licensed real estate broker in Florida.
